Amy Billig disappeared from Coconut Grove at seventeen. Her official missing-person notices preserve identifying details and a route for anyone with information.
Amy Billig was seventeen when she disappeared from Coconut Grove on March 5, 1974. More than half a century later, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement still carried her missing-person notice when checked in September 2026. It preserves a name, a date and a request for information.

The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children also maintains a poster for Amy. It says she was last seen hitchhiking near her Coconut Grove home. That brief description establishes the poster's last-seen account; it does not establish what happened afterward.
Both notices identify an image as age-progressed to fifty-six. It is an illustration of how Amy might have looked at that age, not a later photograph or a confirmed sighting. The label is a small but important part of reading the appeal accurately.
These notices offer a practical response to an unresolved disappearance. Someone who recognizes a detail or has relevant information can reach investigators through the contact details or tip route on the linked official pages. Readers do not need to resolve the story themselves before passing information to the people responsible for the case. Amy's name remains at the center of that appeal.
